EDUCATION FOR SUSTAINABILITY

To develop environmental literacy requires Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) to be an integral part of the curriculum, in a rich and relevant way, involving phenomenon-based learning and critical analysis so that our youngest citizens develop an understanding of the wonderful world we live in.

An appreciation of the wonders and beauty of the natural world must go together with learning about the threat posed by biodiversity loss and climate change so as to foster an understanding of the interdependence of humans and all living things, and creating a sense of responsibility for the living world on which we depend.
