Daniel O’Brien
Daniel is an applied environmentalist and is currently studying International Land and Water Management at Wageningen University in the Netherlands.

With a background in statistics, they bring together technical expertise and community engagement through roles such as Waterways Officer with Rush Tidy Towns and membership of the Coastal Erosion Liaison Sub-Committee of Fingal County Council. Their work spans from local citizen science initiatives to advanced multifactorial risk assessment, emphasising the intersection of technology, science, and community action.

A journey through the interconnected worlds of water systems, from Dublin’s Rogerstown Estuary to the River Rhine, exploring how technology and community shape our understanding and management of these waterways.
