Event Programme

Just two weeks after the European Parliament elections, this exciting Summer School explored the following and other issues:

What would happen if the UK exits the European Union? What kind of Europe do we want? How do we keep the lights on without Russian Gas?

The Belfast Summer School provided a timely opportunity to reflect and explore the issues facing the incoming parliament and the European Union generally. The Eurosceptic debate is increasing in intensity, both inside and outside the Eurozone. The crises within the Eurozone and high levels of unemployment in the EU Member States have contributed to this. We assembled an exciting line-up of speakers and participants from across these islands. The Summer School had panel sessions with generous Q&A opportunities, World Café workshop, outdoor tour of the locality, music and entertainment, all of which ensured a stimulating and fun-filled social weekend in the wonderful setting of historic Queen’s University Belfast.
